- The league will consist of approximately 16 teams playing in two regionalised leagues followed by a Shield and plate competition.
- Age limit:- Players must be under the age of 16 on September 1st of the previous year.
- Each match shall consist of one innings per side, each innings shall comprise of twenty 6-ball overs.
If weather is inclement, a minimum of 12 overs per team.
- If scores are level at end of the match, the result will be a tie.
- Points awarded :
6 for a win / walkover
3 for a tie
2 for an abandonment / cancellation
1 for completing the fixture
Trophies will be awarded at the end of the season. League positions will be determined by the highest number of points.
In the event of equal points, positions will be determined by total runs scored divided by total wickets lost.
- Each bowler is limited to maximum of 4 overs.
- Batsmen are to retire after scoring 35 runs. However, they can return if all other batsmen are dismissed before completion of overs, in original batting order.
- Players must be bona-fida members of the club for whom they play.
- Results of matches are to be telephoned to the Secretary on the night of the match by the Home Team Manager.
- Matches to start at 6.30 p.m. on Tuesdays unless :
- A team cannot fulfil the fixture due to players being involved in school projects.
- Rain prevents a game being played.
- The venue is unavailable.
If any of the above occur, the home manager must report the game as one of the following:
- A walkover (to the team not cancelling the match), if the match was postponed for reasons other than the weather and cannnot be replayed thereafter.
- A postponement, with the game to be rearranged.
- A cancelled game.
It is highly desirable that rearranged games are played within a week of the original fixture but it is allowable to replay at a later date so long as all rearranged games are played no later than 2 weeks before the end of the competition within which the game is being played. (eg, when the season comprises a league competition followed by a play-off, these are considered to be two competitions)
